The Maryland dam safety statutes are contained in Maryland Code, Environment Article, Section 1-404 and Sections 5-503, 5-503.1, and 5-505 through 5-514. The dam safety regulations are found in the Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR) Sections 26.17.04.01 through 26.17.04.13 (COMAR 26.17.04).
